Novel coronavirus (COVID-19)
Caring for you

At Castle Hill Hand Therapy, the focus remains on the health and safety of our local community, patients and staff. Our practice is classed as an essential health service and is open to assist patients. You are welcome to book to attend the clinic for a face to face appointment or to schedule an online video consultation.

Rest assured that Belinda is closely monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and is regularly updating Castle Hill Hand Therapy policy and processes in accordance with advice from the Australian and NSW Governments, NSW Department of Health, Australian Physiotherapy Association and Australian Hand Therapy Association.

To care for everyone, Castle Hill Hand Therapy is taking all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our community, patients and staff, including but not limited to:

Pre appointment screening for all patients, as required by NSW Department of Health.

Following Australian Government guidelines, it is requested patients do not present to the clinic if you have:

– travelled in the past 14 days

– had contact with a COVID-19 positive case

– have signs or symptoms of COVID-19, eg: fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath

but call us to discuss scheduling an online video consultation or rescheduling your face to face appointment.

Patients only to attend appointments in the interest of health and safety to minimise the number of people in the clinic. Exceptions are all patients under 16 years requiring a parent/guardian, interpreters and patients requiring a carer. These additional people will be required to complete the pre appointment screening and provide their name and contact details.

Appointments are scheduled to avoid any contact with other patients and a no waiting policy has been implemented.

Hand sanitiser is provided for patients on arrival and departure from the clinic. Staff are provided with hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities. Staff are trained and certified in hand hygiene.

Commitment to social distancing, provision of sneeze guards and wearing of masks have been implemented as recommended by NSW Department of Health for your protection.

Ventilation via large open windows provides fresh air into the clinic during all consultations.

Following best guidelines from the NSW Department of Health regarding cleaning of treatment rooms, reception area, and equipment. Cleaning is performed after every patient.

Belinda understands that these are challenging times and that some of these measures may create some disruption to your normal treatment. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

At Castle Hill Hand Therapy, Belinda is firmly committed to doing everything she can to continue to provide a safe, healthy and comfortable service to her patients.
